Syllabus of M.A. Economics |
There will be twenty papers spread over four semesters. Out of these, sixteen theory papers will be
taught in the semesters. Twelve theory papers will be compulsory. Three compulsory papers will be
taught in each semester. In each semester, there will be four theory papers consisting of three
compulsory & one optional paper out of the prescribed optional papers. In addition to it, there shall
be three practical (survey/field works/project work etc.) one each in three semester and one viva-
voce spread over fourth semester. The numer of optional to be offered will be decided by the
department each year, depending upon the facilities available in the department. Two latest articles
will be discussed in each theory paper. Each paper shall carry 100 marks. The maximum marks for
M.A. will then be 2000 (Two Thousand).

| This paper shall be divided into two parts : Internal + External |

| This shall include exercises like book review, data collection, field survey, preparation of bibliography, questionaire, training schedule, content analysis. The student shall take up one of the above said exercises under the supervision of one of the faculty members. The number of the students for this work shall be decided by the joint decision of the faculty members. The supervisor/teacher concern shall evaluate the exercise. |
